If you have tried the broadband services of Netway please write a review about your positive and/or negative experiences.

If your review is based on past experiences please include the time period you have been using this ISP.

Please post reviews about Netway only, and not about any other ISP or service. However feel free to compare Netway with other Internet Service Providers offering similar products.

Don't forget to cast your vote with your rating for Netway.

After using the atrocious netrunner for nearly 3 years, I tried Netway after hearing good reports on a couple of forum.

I was conditioned by CyTA - if there was a problem it was down to them. The dire music, the 40 minutes' wait.

The first time there was a fault with my connection I was on the phone to Netway - phone answered by a REAL person, passed to technician immediately then, to my embarrassment found the problem was my end.

Problem quickly rectified followed by "my name's ***** any problem just ask for me" (that was my one and only call for support).

It was reassuring when, told to "click on 'run' and type 'cmd'" I said "I use linux" and heard "open a terminal" instead of "fine - just click on 'run'".

About 4 months later I took a years subscription - which I will be renewing shortly.

I have been using Netway's FastLane for one year now. The internet is good. P2P applications work really good with great speeds(bittorrent, emule, limewire, etc.).
Http download speeds are slow. If you are downloading a single file throught firefox or iexplore the speed will suck.
The TV is good and the customer service is really good.

The past few days usenet speeds have plummeted, seems they've introduced traffic shaping.

FTP speed is slow - but I don't know whether they've shackled that too, or its just the particular sever I' downloading from.

As my annual subscription runs out in a couple of weeks I'll be going elsewhere.

Not only usenet speeds - torrent speeds are now at about 25% of the speed they were last week - I have spoken with Netway who have confirmed traffic shapping is now in place but have promised an upgrade to bandwidth which will help - I am on monthly subscription so if it does not improve very soon I will be looking elsewhere.  There are cheaper alternatives for this kind of speed.......

Update - Fastlane is back in the fastlane!  Netway tech support informed me that they would be carrying out an upgrade yesterday and my torrent speeds are now back to normal 250KBs.  It would have been nice to have been informed of the temporary traffic shaping without having to call them but it's nice to have the speed back.  If there are any changes I will re-post.

Disappointing service. After being their customer for quite a while with great speeds, Usenet speeds dropped substantially... Traffic shaping is definitely happening.

I agree with the last two comments. Fastlane2 service has been really poor for the last 10 days, especially after 3pm. Loading basic pages and Google search results is sluggish. You can forget about P2P

Oh dear Oh dear - it is time that Netway change there advertising and I quote:

"FastLane aDSL Home Connections:
No Restricted/Filtered/Closed Ports"

There service is now officialy as bad as Cytanet in my eyes.

After 5 unanswered emails and two empty promises to improve their service the time has come - I have moved to Cablenet.

I use netway and i-choice.

I am very happy with the respect this ISP has to online gaming.
Finally an ISP that doesn't limit the user's expirience to just webbrowsing.

Pros: Excellent for playing online games/skype conversations/realtime video streaming.
Cons: a bit more expencive, but you get what you pay for.
