Title: Moving to Cyprus
Post by: daiboy352 on December 23 2007 03:06pm
Should be moving to Cyprus shortly to the Geriskipou area and will be requiring broadband services, however unlike some of the forum participants that I have read so far I am rather limited in my understanding of what to do.  I shall be having a desk top and a laptop computer with wi-fi connection but it will be for personal use only, no business.  Can anybody help me with non technical language and recommendations??

Hello daiboy,

Do you already have a phone line installed at the place you will be moving to? This will help determine which broadband packages you can get.

If you are not technical at all and what is written in this website doesn't make sense to you then when you come to Cyprus you can call Cyta (the equivalent of BT) at 132, explain them what you want, and if broadband is available in your area then they will install everything that you need within a couple of weeks.

Okay Admin, thanks for that.  No phone in at the moment but the facilities are in the block.  I'll check with Cyta when we arrive.
