Title: Settings for MiVision Post by: TheDragon on January 20 2008 12:22pm I am currently running my own router on my internet line. A Draytek 2800VG as its a good VoIP router.
I am looking to get MiVision, is there any settings i need to change, other than connect the set top box to a spare ethernet port. And wait for my line to re-sync at 3 or 4 Mbit? Do I need to forward any ports? Is there any change to the VPC settings on the ATM side of things?? Title: Re: Settings for MiVision Post by: Admin on January 21 2008 03:10am Hello,
Mivision is usually connected directly on the modem provided by Cyta, and not on the router. Are you using the Draytek only as a router, or you are using it an ADSL modem as well, replacing the modem provided by Cyta with it? Title: Re: Settings for MiVision Post by: TheDragon on January 21 2008 11:34am Cyta provide a Speedtouch 585v6. This is a 4 port modem/router/switch.
I have replaced it with the draytek, so I have directly replaced the speedtouch with a draytek. Title: Re: Settings for MiVision Post by: Admin on January 24 2008 11:36am Hello,
I am not sure how exactly that would work. I tried to connect Amino on my router instead of the modem provided by Cyta but it didn't work correctly. The EPG was working but no image or sound was coming. I am guessing that there should be a way to make it work. It may even work straight away for you. Unfortunately I can not know for sure, or how. Title: Re: Settings for MiVision Post by: TheDragon on January 24 2008 01:25pm You have to setup extra ATM settings. If you understand how to configure multiple VPI/VCI them i have the document from a cyta tech listing the correct settings to get ANY router working.

Personally I do not need this as I am using the modem provided by Cyta. However it would be nice if you could attach this document in a post in case somebody else will need this information in the future. Thank you Title: Re: Settings for MiVision Post by: TheDragon on January 25 2008 08:11am Attached is the setting required fopr amy Multi PVC router to run MiVision.
