Title: HyperLan2 Post by: andrew on October 01 2008 05:50am Has anyone had any experience of the HyperLAN2 service which CyprusInternet sell? It's Paphos only at the moment, but they did say they planned to spread to Limassol by (the classic) "end of the year".

Title: Re: HyperLan2 Post by: andrew on October 02 2008 07:23am The monthly fees are €26 - compared with €32 for the Cyta equivalant, and when you cancel the contract you can sell back the hardware for €100. According to my calculations, you'll have saved the installation costs over 2 years - so although it's expensive compared with the UK, it still seems cheap compared with Cyta.

Title: Re: HyperLan2 Post by: andrew on October 02 2008 12:55pm It isn't WiMax, although it's functionally very similar - HyperLan2 is a EU preferred service that practically no-one has launched as a commercial service. I'd be interested to find anyone who actually uses it.
