Following is the Press Release by Primetel:

From January 1st 2010, PrimeTel will double it's internet speeds automatically with no additional charge. If for example your internet speed is at 300Kbps, it will be increased to 1Mbps, 750Kbps to 2Mbps, 1Mbps to 3Mbps, 2 Mbps to 4 Mbps and 4Mbps to 8Mbps, automatically and with no procedures! We would like to take this opportunity to also announce the introduction of the new 8Mbps speed, changing the standards of internet speeds for the home packages PrimeHome and PrimeNet.

Update:

Netway has also doubled the internet speeds for it's FastLane Home packages. Similar upgrades are expected from all other ISPs offering services over the Primetel network.

Stelios the technical hotline told me that if I am on an offer, such as 3months half price which I am on since start of my contract, then the speed will double after 3 months after the offer ends. To me this is complete non-sense, does this mean that whoever took out an offer for a free laptop wont enjoy double speeds until their 2 year contract is over? Its the same logic

I only reply about the technical part .. as much as I understand it.
