Projectors usually don't have a tuner. So even if you get analogue TV you will need to buy a separate TV tuner. You can buy such tuners in stores like stephanis.
I read here http://www.cyprus-forum.com/cyprus16764.html that you can have MyVision in many rooms watching different channels. Do you know if it is really possible and if it is legal? Does MyVision give enough bandwidth for several channels at once?
So i-choice AND the ISP will be upgraded from 1M to 2M for free? I guess maybe only i-choice will get a free upgrade but then you will have to pay more to the ISP to actually take advantage of the upgrade because the ISPs buy international bandwidth and for sure they will not want to double their costs from one day to the next! Ok, maybe it will not double because not many people will fully use the 2M, but you get my point.
I don't get it! Cyta is already more expensive than many others so why should they force them to increase their prices? Or maybe I didn't understand something?
Business Lite is 45 pounds more expensive! I guess they do not filter ports on that one. But try using P2P with home package of Cytanet and you will see how slow it is. Playing fair means they should tell me what are the limits before I buy from them! If they filter some ports they should say it. If they don't then they are the ones who are not playing fair I think!
Come to think of it. I have been in Cyta Netrunner and not noticed any ports being restricted. I run VoIP applications without issues.
Did you use any P2P for downloads? Thats where most of the port filtering goes! I also wait to see when i-choice will upgrade to 2Mbps because where I live there is no Primetel or Otenet network so i-choice is the only choice
Otenet is the ISP I use now and I have no complaints. They are fast and they are cheap also. I use the 1Mbit connection with i-choice for 10 pounds per month. The only small problem is that you have to use their own SMTP server to send out email unless you upgrade to the package with the static IP. I guess they do this to reduce spam and in general I don't find it a big issue.
Now I want to try their new Xtream package but they don't cover my area yet. I hope they will soon. I just hope those 4GB per week will be enough for me since I download a lot with peer-to-peer programs but maybe I can do that at night that there are no limits!
Cytanet was the first ISP for ADSL i tried. Browsing the web was fast compared to the ISDN I was used but when I tried out to download with FTP I was shocked. It was slower than dial-up! I called Cytanet support to ask them why but they were just wasting my time and I saw no improvement. After I did a bit of research it turned out that Cytanet filters many ports and many things work very slow with them. They could at least tell me this themselves when I called them instead of wasting my time! This was a couple of years ago but from what I hear they didn't improve. Stay away from Netrunner!
