I propose to arrange a protest before all ISP-s. We should bring posters and, shout loudly: Low Prices for ADSL. Then we can finish with throwing chicken eggs on the doors and windows. Grin

in Greece they pay for 24mbit but the actual speed they get doesnt even get close to that they might get 10mbit, or their modem doesnt synchronize so they stay with less speed packages

this might be true but it still does not lowers the price for the ADSL here  Sad
In my country 25mbits comes for only 10 euro per month / 12 month contract.

The other thing is to have your connection stable and have low latency. Otherwise even with 20 mbs its fucked... Smiley

ok, i feel confused.
Cablenet dont have coverage in my area so the only choise is one of the ADSL providers.   As a game-playing oriented i think that Wavespeed is my choise,
BUT I am desperate for good advice please...?

p.s. they told me that wavespeed is the owner of cablenet.

And one more question: DO you have any impresion from Callsat Telecom? They have the highest traffic( speedtest.net) compared to others in Nicosia.

This has been on the cards for a long time now. Cyprus has to be the only country where the introduction of competition has actually had the opposite effect, rather than providing a better service, it has actually remained static.

Alternate providers have had a chance to roll out their services and tout for customers, is it fair to prevent upgrades any longer for those customers who choose to use the incumbent?

What used to be broadband is once again less than the slowest speeds available in many EU countries where 8Mbit is a slow connection, 20Mbit the norm, 100Mbit being rolled out and even 1Gbit in some areas.

Our ADSL may well be 20 times faster than dialup, pity it is 20 times slower than most EU countries Sad

totaly agree!

Hello guys,
i just made my move to Cyp/Nicosia/Aglanzia, and the first thing i need here is to find a good ISP to be able play my favorite online game( World of Warcraft and soon AOC).
My question is simple:
Is there any good ISP which can provide me with low latency( low ping) stable connection so i can do my raids without swearing  Grin  Huh
