Another day with almost no internet thanks to Cablenet.

Another day of being charged for nil service.

But it seems I'm not alone and no doubt tomorrow there will be some new Cablenet Customers to join us all in the same boat.

I have been with Cablenet from early in the New Year and found the service has gone steadily down hill. Initially it was as promised but as their customer numbers increased their performance decreased. I regularly watch UK TV via a UK based server and this has recently become unwatchable as the upload speed provided by cablenet falls as low as 0.25. Cablenet refuse to accept this as a reason for a discount or refund, they say they only promise up to 5mgb. I also have a CYTA Broadband connection which gives a better performance despite only being a 2 Mgb package. When will ISP's deliver what we are paying for 5 Megs should mean 5 Megs lets face it our subcriptions are not reduced to the same extent or I would only be charged a few Euros for the current service.
