Hi Guys,

I received this decoder from Cabelnet with this smart card in it.
Now my TV has his own CI-Module Slot and I would like to put the card in there but I need some kind of CI Module or CAM module in-between which will work as an adapter. I found some in the Internet but I don´t know which type I need.
Practically I would like to get rid of this huge ugly Cabelnet Decoder Box and have my TV doing the Job.
Does Anybody know if it is possible at all and if its, which CI-Module do I need?

you should contact cablenet for this...what you ask has nothing to do with this forum...as you can see this forum has information regarding the isp providers and their services (packages /prices/ reviews)

I don't know if this is the right place to put down this note but as I found no where else to write my suggestion I write it here.

It will be very convenient and very helpful to all of us that are members of cablenet to have access to a tv programme with all channels schedules. I understand that this might be a bit difficult but at least some of your good channels like FX and Universal it will be really nice to have their programme availabe in cablenet's website.

ADSL broadband coverage of Cyprus is expected to reach 100% within 2011, Minister of Communications and Works Erato Kozakou Marcoullis said today in a message on the occasion of tomorrow’s International Day of Telecommunication and Information Society.

The Minister noted that the EU aim, to grant all Member States internet access with a minimum of 2 Mbps by the end of 2013, will thus be covered in Cyprus two years earlier.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) need to be introduced to all economic and social domains, in order to achieve the goal of a knowledge-based society, the Minister went on.

Therefore, Marcoullis added, all citizens need to have the possibility of using ICT, whether they live in urban or rural areas. She added that thereby, citizens would enjoy better services, without being subjected to social or economic discriminations.

Moreover, Marcoullis said that broadband coverage of the whole of Cyprus’ territory is considered as a prerequisite for ICT to help improve productivity at work, promote competition, facilitate business development, and contribute in education, health, tourism and trade. These factors, she noted, lead potentially to a thriving Cypriot economy in general and the revitalization of the island’s rural areas in particular.

Moreover, she said that the Ministry of Communications and Works, in an effort to support rural areas, has provided broadband internet access to all 151 communities of Cyprus, which by 2009 had no such connection. This project, she noted, was concluded in the early months of 2010, adding that a WiFi service and the necessary equipment is provided in all communities free of charge.

Finally, Marcoullis noted in her message that the digital strategy of the Cyprus government aims at developing the goals of Information Society island-wide, in order to facilitate citizens in accessing high quality services and acquire the necessary digital skills.

I will try to change my modem again to get the hitron one because is docsis 3 so it my get fixed but i don't think so.Then after all i may go with primetel again.I can't even watch my dreambox because it stucks every 3 minutes,download,upload stops.I'm a cablenet subscriber 3,5-4 years now but the problem with disconnects it's really annoying...

Any one experiencing disconnections with cablenet?This happens only at night 8-4am,My modem levels are not stable and the signal noise ratio of the line is going like hell,I was calling them for 1 week until they understand the problem was from outside.This week their idiot technicians were coming every day here in the street trying to find the problem, and finally the connection got worse.I very angry with them. Customer support 0/10 i really mean that.

Another question for those who owned a hitron BVW-3653,is it working with docsis 3 frequencies or is it still using docsis 2 because it's a 1.0-3.0 compatible modem.Can you get into modems administrative page?

Yes, I`m getting constant disconnects at this moment. Calling technicians won't fix the incompetence of the company, you`ll just have to wait until they get their act together, which might take months or years. My recommendation to everyone is to stick with cytanet.

On the other hand with cablenet, i have problems every other day, the internet will either not connect, keep disconnecting, the speed will be very slow, browsing will be glitchy, and gaming will have pings of 300-900ms. Yesterday as someone said it was completely screwed the whole day. Today im limited at 120kb/s. I just hope they fix their service soon.
