Hey everyone!!

Need your opinion. So... I've got an i-choice home 1000 connection, that was installed 2 years ago.  Now i need a wi-fi for my apple, so i bought an asus wi-fi router... but after doing all possible and impossible things i couldn't make them work in pair.. firstly, i've hacked my home to pro, cause home doesn't allow to make PPP connection. After 2 sleepless nights, i've tried everything about pairing devices, but nothing works.. Today i found and article by cyta, that says that my connection can be set up just throught bridge protocol (1M connection), am i right?? or i missed something... (Watch the screenshot). Help me guys.

Hi Fabulous,

Wwhat options you have for the WAN settings of the ASUS wifi router?

Which CYTA DSL router you have?
There are some info here for ECI and Alcatel
Can you enable the wireless on the CYTA DSL router?

What did you change?
So now you have Bridge Mode?

Wan connection settings of Asus are automatic ip.

My dsl modem is Alcatel Speedtouch home. http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc/hardware/?action=h_view&model_id=83
I've tried to install network by ECI guide, but it didn't work.
Speedtouch home doesn't have a wireless (that's why i bought Asus.

It's Bridge mode by default, but as far as i understood i need to have PPP... But the article in my first post confuses me, or it's bullsh*t?)

What should i do to make this thing work?

It's screen with defaults connections

Had simillar problems with this product from Linksys  Wireless-G Range Expander WRE54G
http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WRE54G
it won't work as a wireless bridge between 2 hosts.
Spend 2 weeks on that and finally The only way to get it work properly is to connect it thru the Ethernet cable

Hi guys,
I'm new here i have a similar problem , i thing so, I'm trying to configure my netgear adsl router to use it as my internet access device instead of THOMSON TG585 v7 which is my providers router. Can anyone had the same problem and solve it(I mean using a router different from the one that CYTA provides)?

Hello Fabulos!
My congratilations! You've managed to do it.

I did not. I tryed several times and I didn ot find any settings for PPP.

I have Asus WL500W router and want to configure PPP on it. But cyta (and all ISP on Cyprus) has so complex system (may be they think if they want to have more products: line, dsl & PPP).

Fabulos, could you share, how you did it?
