Hi Guys,

I received this decoder from Cabelnet with this smart card in it.
Now my TV has his own CI-Module Slot and I would like to put the card in there but I need some kind of CI Module or CAM module in-between which will work as an adapter. I found some in the Internet but I donīt know which type I need.
Practically I would like to get rid of this huge ugly Cabelnet Decoder Box and have my TV doing the Job.
Does Anybody know if it is possible at all and if its, which CI-Module do I need?
Thank you.

You should speak with CableNet about this. If they use a standard encryption - they could tell you which one and you could buy the CAM module for this encryption from a satellite TV shop. If they use a custom encryption - you can get the module only from them. Depending on the encryption there is also a possibility that the card will not run on anything else but the decoder they gave you.

most of tvs have a CI port for adding a cam for decoding MPEG4. This signals are supported only for DVB-D broadcast or DVB-S (if your tv has build in satellite receiver). However TVs can not decode clear QAM (cable) signals. Only the cable STB can decode those signals.
