To measure your maximum download and upload speeds to the Internet over http you can use one of the following speed tests, otherwise known as bandwidth meters.
There are tons of these tests online but the following are the best I found so far.
Remember that to get a more accurate result you shouldn't be downloading anything while the test is running.
If you are connected to the Internet through the
i-choice platform then you can also measure your download speed using the
i-choice bandwidth meter. Note that this test will only show the speed between your computer and the i-choice network, not the Internet. Therefore if your download speed is low with this test that means there is a problem either at your end (e.g. your router), with i-choice, or somewhere between (e.g. the phone line).
Please note that such tests measure only one aspect of your Internet connectivity and are not the only factor to determine how good or bad your connection to the Internet is. I will write about the other factors in a future article.
