We had a Cyta line installed this week at work. When i was speaking with the engineer he said that the 2M upgrade is due end of March. It will be automatic upgrade and no extra charge. Hmmmmm free upgrade, not Cyprus. Anyone heard any more info on the long awaited 2M upgrade on I-Choice

One year ago they told me the same thing.
Upgrade from what? i-choice 1000?

From 512 and 1028 home products.

Believe it when I see it though.

Saying that we were promised Mi-Vision in March, and sure enough we have had a Mini D-Slam installed and we can not have it.

I think it will make sense if they upgrade from:
256 to 512
512 to 1024
1024 to 2048
Free of charge of course.

someone also told me that few days ago cyta managed to pass the upgrade situation from parliament (after years of rejecting it by regulative for competition reason-primetel) and they will do double upgrade to all for free...but i forget to ask for the price but i guess it will stay the same after the upgrade

So i-choice AND the ISP will be upgraded from 1M to 2M for free? I guess maybe only i-choice will get a free upgrade but then you will have to pay more to the ISP to actually take advantage of the upgrade because the ISPs buy international bandwidth and for sure they will not want to double their costs from one day to the next! Ok, maybe it will not double because not many people will fully use the 2M, but you get my point.
