My name is Kelly and I live in Mesogi, Pafos.

I started using Cyta ADSL in July this year and I have been happy with their performance.
I work towards my servers in Sweden and I have clocked the connections to Sweden to 4.02 Mbit/0.360Mbit at 17/9 2009 (which is great)

As of last week Cyta seems to have tremendeous packet loss issues with the UK and the rest of the world.
The packet loss affect the TCP to be operating on 30-40% of the capacity today my speed numbers are 1.64/0.09.

I have spoken to some UK Expats and Swedish friends in Pafos and they have the same experience.

Do you know whats going on with the Cyta and overseas connections right now?

Cheers
Kelly

Hello Kelly,

We occasionally receive complaints from users not being able to access some of our websites hosted overseas and these people are always Netrunner subscribers for some reason.

I don't know why this happens and so far calling their support was not a great help. The problem is always fixed after a while however.

What you can do is either call Cyta to add your complaint, which could add pressure to them to fix the problem faster (the more people call them to complain the better), or change ISP.

Dear Kelly
Unfortunately i don't know what's going on with Cyta
I had Cyta's connection a year ago and had low speeds and so on and as soon as cablenet covered my area i moved to them.
Now i am glad that i changed provider.
I suggest that you speak to them on their support or if this problem still exists you can of course change provider or ISP.
