I signed up with cablenet a while ago and everything was fine until lately. For example I'm getting huge pings while gaming, and also a friend (also new to cablenet) lately has problems with web tv.

Does anyone else have similar problems?

yeah i notticed long pings too during online games but i don't know yet if the server that i connect is far away and thus getting >pings. I can't game right now on my laptop because it has weak graphics and as soon i build my new pc I am going to play a lot. So i hope that i don't get any problems.
If your are downloading and play online simultaneously probably is because of that.

I dont download and play and the problem also occurs on all servers not only a specific one.

I already called and complained, but if more of you guys are having problems you should call aswell.

Same here.
It seems that Cablenet signed too many new users and there is a problem with Bandwidth.

such a petty why some ppl underestemate our IQ.and im talking about cablenets admins.they advertise deferent ranks like 5mgb and 10mgb and so on.and when you complane to them about very low bandwith and downloads less the 1mgb and very high ping..they only tell you that is shared bandwith.so when there are many ppl on cables net server you just die.but still paying for 10mgb.maby they dont know that with low bandwith our 10mgb is useless.well dear friends there is no way of playing any on line game for cablenet users.im going to check primetell connections and ill leave these very inteligent ppl in cablenet along.anouncing HD tv was a joke and paying extra for digital tv but not cyprus chanels.

Hey guys
I just subscribed to Cablenet 2 weeks ago in Larnaca
I heard of the hype so i decided to try it myself but so far i am not impressed

i pretty have similar problems with the ones i also saw in Cablenet Review article
I have the triple pack tv phone 6mbs
i have fast speed according to all my speed tests

but i can not play a single online game

I called 130 couple times and yesterday I emailed them telling them in a very polite manner either help me or i go back to Cyta

now last night for the first time i could play Warcraft 3 frozen throne (dota) but i could not play any PS3 game or Heroes of Newerth on PC

i rather have Cyta 2mbs and play decently than have cablenet 6mbs and not play at all

to be more specific
Warcraft 3= cyta  85ms Vs cablenet 300ms
Heroes of Newerth = cyta 60ms Vs cablenet 999ms
CallofDuty (PS3)= cyta 3/5 bars Vs cablenet 1/5bars

p.s.I am not a techie like most of you guys so please understand me if someone has answer it before and i couldnt follow his direction

p.s. i used a USB broadband antena for my desktop on top floor (25euros instead of 99 linkys) and i have my ps3 wired to the modem

Well i have made a RapidShare account and all my D/L's are getting a nice b/w of 650KB/s.
@ Pause If you have QoS (Quality of Service) on your router try to prioritize the packets for gaming applications
@dekyprio Yes they offer all the Cyprus Chanells

hi again it would be very helpfull if some one shows us how we can get acces in the modem of cablenet and how to config the ports or any other aplications for gaming..if there is a way..???as for cyprus chanells they are not sending digital broadcast yet why we should pay more to watch 19 free channels digital since cyprus once are not digital...as for the bandwith of larnaca cablenet users..i can only say this in greek :PERA VRESHI KARAMANIAN SHIONIZH.
couse they called me and said that the prombelm is solved.but dear freinds is worst beleve me you can all check from torent download from cyta is 220kbs and from cablenet in 1.2kbs with 10mgb line stated from cablenet.
